I had read about this, it's very sad, but not surprising based on things I've heard and seen even in CABA. As I always like to remind people anywhere in the Americas, unless you're indigenous you're an immigrant too, so treat other people with respect, you don't know why or how they ended up here, and they have every right to be part of this country as you do.

These situations are really avoidable. Don't go to nightclubs//avoid drinking alcohol at one. Hope the lad has a speedy recovery!

Would you share that same sentiment to a 19 year old woman who was violated? I think most people would call that victim blaming or insensitve at best.
