Recommend a Spanish Institute?

Hello,

I've been taking a private class, one hour a day, 6 days a week in San Telmo near Parque Dorrego for US $8. per hour. I am very happy with my teacher. Flexible hours, no text book, just talk about your life in Spanish and take lots of notes from what's written on a black board. 10 hour minimum for 280 pesos. http://www.proyectosantelmo.com/

Ciao,
Patrick :)

I have a friend who studies at VOS (http://www.vosbuenosaires.com/) and absolutely loves it. From what I've been told, they have good prices, super-friendly staff and a low-key atmosphere.

I recommend them too. I went there for about a year and a half and loved it. In fact we just are here at home for a week and then have to return to the states and plan on visiting them. They are very nice and the teachers are excellent.

Also they have activities every week after class hours. Tours of the city, Argentine movie nights, picadas...

I could not find a better deal in the whole city for one-on-one classes: www.nativetuition.com
It is a small language school. You are taught by University professors and they charge only $20/hour for one-on-one lessons!

I signed up for another school and actually paid a deposit. They were so inflexible that I only wanted to leave before I started my first lesson (so I forfeited my deposit). I ended up at VOS and found what I was looking for: very good teacher, relaxed, flexible atmosphere and in the few days I had I really progressed. Definitely worth it!
