Hi

Does anyone have any recommendations of a breast specialist in Buenos Aires. I need to complete some non urgent investigations started outside Argentina.

Thanks in advance

do you have insurance? If so, my suggestion is to make an appointment with a gynecologist, and they will get you scheduled for a mammogram, mammary ultrasound or whatever other tests you may need, or recommend you to a specialist.

If you don't have insurance, I'd head to one of the nearby hospitals and see what they can do to help you (Sanatorio Guemes on Cordoba and Medrano is a more affordable one for walk in consults).

Yes I do have OSDE and i was just trying to decide the best place to go with the test results i already have.

Normally I would be all over an email like this, but today I'm just throwing out a "good lucK/ suerte".

Caught me on a sensitive day.

You already have test results? Were they from a test conducted here? I'd think that whomever ordered the initial tests should be able to make a recommendation for a specialist for you. If not and the tests are from another region/country, I'd make an appointment with a gynecologist and get them to recommend a specialist to you. A gyn who I have gone to and absolutely adore is Dra. Liliana Rossi in Caballito. She's in your OSDE cartelita, and her contact info in the women's forum threads (sorry, don't have it on hand). Best of luck.

ETA: Aww, look, Napoleon has a soft side!

Dr. Juan Isetta of Halitus was recommended for that by my gynec. I know that Halitus accepts OSDE but I have no personal experience with the doctor.

For those who have missed my posts about Maria from Settling in Services Buenos Aires, I will repeat, she is great at finding the right Doctor (I needed English speaking), Lab, etc. I had a serious accident in the States, came back home here, she met me at the airport & then helped me find hands down the best specialist & kinesologist in Buenos Aires. She offers accompainied assistence, which I used because I could not walk without crutches. You can contact here at settle.in.ba@gmailcom

Hey dude, doesn´t matter what is asked you just go ahead and spam your Maria stuff! Everybody got your spam already now drop it! If you think you are benefiting this noble soul Maria, I have to tell you you are not.

I am sincerely very happy to refer any service of someone who has helped me a great deal. Yes, I am passing this information but I get absolutely no benefit & believe me Maria has loads of clients so not relying on my referrals for her living. I don't know about you, but I had a lot of obstacles working thru the systems here in Buenos Aires without being fluent in Spanish. It was impossible for me to navigate Swiss Medical to find an English speaking doctor, to navigate Telecom to get my phone to work when it dropped off for two months & I was still required to pay, to find a painter or all the many other requirements I have in caring for my family. Yes, I love it here but there are many challenges. I have met many EXPATS who are thrilled with getting referrals of people who have performed a service well. I apologise if it appears to be spam.

Don´t know Risu, you should know better, but all your posts are about the same thing, you cannot contribute with anything but Maria´s referral?
