My daughter has dropped her iPhone 4s (with protecting cover) and the screen is in 1,000,000 pieces. Anyone know of a place to repair it here in BA? All I know of is a place in Belgium where you pay 90€. Not just expensive but also a lot of fuss to get it there and back.

Any ideas?

Check Mercado Libre first.
A while back the trick was to buy the screen as a part (abroad) and have it installed or replace it yourself locally.
Once you know the price for the part you will also know if they're charging U an arm and a leg for the service.

I work with an excellent fellow who has a small shop in Olivos.
He specialises in this type of work and is very trustworthy.
I'll post details later when I get to work.

It's Daniel at TodoLaptop, Entre Rios 1454, Olivos. Tel 4790 6716.
Hope that helps.

Whatever you do, do NOT take your Apple products to the guys at Cerrito 270. They switched out my iPod touch for a different, unrepairable one. I only realized when I got home and dug out the receipt to compare serial numbers...

Thanks! thats great! I just contacted him, its 660$, so depending on wether I pay with blue or official dollars the price is more, or less, then in Europe :D

But he does it in an hour which is easier then getting it to Europe and back...
