The city has a new center in Mataderos with 24-hour staff to help. Here are all the details you need for help.

Quarantine: consultations for cases of digital gender violence tripled

Violence against women can also be virtual, so it is essential to know what the forms of violence online are. That is why it is essential that we pay attention to help in the event that someone needs it.

These are the most common forms of digital gender violence:

*Control your friendships on social networks and instant messaging platforms.
*Force you to constantly share your location in real time, or install GPS applications on your cell phone to know where you are.
*Force you to send your own erotic and / or pornographic content.
*Filming or taking photos of yourself in intimate situations without your consent.
*Sharing intimate content of yours without your authorization.
*Threatening you when you don't reply to their messages.

Anything for men? I've seen my share of verbal abuse and put downs from women disguised as a cute form of jokingly show their dominance ....... being in that situation as an unwilling witness makes anyone very uncomfortable, especially when you are expected to know that they are just playing?( not according to the husband's facial expression)

McKenna you make a great point.

I can't tell you the countless examples of female to male abuse I have seen in my lifetime or minority to non minority as well. And it is dished out in all forms.

Everyone is crying about social equality, gender equality, racial equality etc ... It needs to be in every single direction. Frontwards, backwards and all ways. Until or unless everyone has the same rights and privileges it's all a weighted game and a complete joke.

Sure... you go to the Comisaria to denounce your wife for verbal, psychological and slapping you on the face....several times.. The entire Police force will laugh at you...LOL

Yes my missus can give as good as she gets.. not that it bothers me as I can be a PITA at times..

Serioulsy though...I have noticed amongst our group of friends that, if anything, the women bar one do seem to be the most dominant in the relationships. Which is refreshing to see as long as none of them are hubby batterers.

This is a good thing for women who are subject to abuse. I don’t see the point in diluting the point of this thread in the women’s forum by politicizing what is ultimately a good thing.

This forum is mostly made up of 60+ year-old straight white men. Not that I have anything against that demographic but realistically speaking, posting a resource here for women who are subject to abuse and hoping forum members won't react exactly as they just did is like throwing a sausage into a pack of hungry stray dogs and hoping they won't eat it.

Your post, as entertaining as it is, is still very true. And I can't see how situations like this get lost in the debate. Very many men are victims of spousal abuse and it is not taken seriously. This is a very real situation and if equality is to be realized, it needs to be enjoyed by everyone.
