Hi to all the foodies!

I'm looking for a place to have a nice, fun dinner with coworkers to celebrate a good year. I've look at the blog http://pickupthefork.com and there are quite a few places that I think would be good.

I would say that the majority are adventurous eaters, but just in case it would be nice to have a place that is more accomodating for everyone.

There are 11 people that will be attending. Last time we did a dinner at Benihanas and everyone loved the food and the drinks, so something along this line would be great. I'm looking at a mid-ranged price. Nothing over the top, but not McDonalds..

Any suggestions are more than welcome!!

Thanks!

Hi! I would recommend Juana M. It's a huge basement space, really well decorated with cool art and always busy with people. Kind of has a NY vibe. The menu is basic porteño, but really well done. Pasta, carne, etc but their selling point is the salad bar which has everything you could want. Also, good drinks and wine selection. I've celebrated my birthday there and it's great for big groups. It's on Pellegrini almost reaching Libertador.

Maybe Miranda or Juana M? Those are the two parrillas I know that actually offer pretty good fish and vegetarian options (and fun atmospheres.)

I'd try Las Pizarras. A lot of people haven't been yet and it's getting busier and busier. They have enough options to please everyone - beef, fish, risotto, duck, lamb - and the price is not too bad (I'd say less than Miranda although more than Juana M). I've definitely seen groups of 8-12 there recently. Not sure I'd do much more but around there you'd be ok.

Lovely ambiance, good service, good food etc. Closest thing to a real bistro in Buenos Aires, à mon avis.
