I've searched and read several threads on futbol tickets but have not found an answer.

I want to go River Plate vs. San Lorenzo on Sunday. I am going with a local and we would like to be in the popular section (we understand the risks). We are not interested in a tour experience.

1. Are tickets available for the general public (non-socios)?
2. Can I go to the stadium Tuesday or Wednesday to buy the tickets, or do they only start selling tickets on Friday or Saturday?

Most of the experiences I've read are about going 1-2 days before but I would like to lock it down sooner since I will be out of BsAs during the weekend and would pay a flight change fee to make sure I can attend the game.

To answer my own question, I went to the stadium today and the boleteria was only open for socios to pick up tickets they had ordered online. I was told no sales to the public until Friday.

Of course they did not answer their phone any of the 5 times I called throughout the day to find out if I was wasting my time going out there :).

Hey anjuna will be interested to hear about how you go and end up paying. I did the same to watch San Lorenzo vs Boca at the cancha de San Lorenzo last season (ie went and picked up tickets from the club) and went with one of my porteño friends sat night.

Pretty keen to get to Monumental at some point though, so let me know how you go!

hey there! I'm argentina and I'm coming to the match on sunday. If you need to know anything or someone to go with. Just let me know: [email protected]

Also just as a quick notice, the only tickets that will be on sale for the public (ie non-socios) will be the San Martin and Belgrano Baja (side lateral sections) stands of the stadium, which cost 300 pesos each.

Unfortunately, the only way you will get a popular ticket will be through the resale of tickets.

I am also planning on going to the match if I can make it tomorrow to El Monumental to buy a ticket.

Anyone interested in going please contact me!

Picked up the tickets today at 1230pm for 300 pesos. Only platea was available as expected. Only 2 sections left (R and I) at that time and the guy said there were very few seats left.

Would not be surprised if it sells out by tomorrow, if it hasn't already.

So ive seen a few Boca Jnr games through the exorbitantly priced tour packages and would like to buy tickets direct from the stadium for a River game.

From what I read online River has now gone to a membership system like Boca Jnr and it seems you now need to be a member to buy tickets?

Is this in fact true or can I go to the stadium the day before or early on match day to buy tickets as a non-member?
