Any salsa dancers out there? Wanna go dancing? I'm looking for recommendations on the Buenos Aires salsa scene. What clubs are good and when are the best nights to go out? Thanks!

There are about three well-known places where many Cubans go, one of them is called Azucar I think, the two others can't remember

this is the one I am having on my to do list (never been there but friends of mine have)
Azucar

Here is a list.

The best is La Salsera. Plays Salsa, ChaCha and Bachata. Mostly the BA version on LA style, some NY and some Cuban. Kind of a closed group to get to know. Classes are good, in spanish.

Azucar Abasto has a nice Saturday class but plays too much Reggeaton.

I heard good things about Azucar Belgrano but have not gone.

Cuba Mia is worth going to, but is about half Reggeaton.

Sudaca is very slow.

OyeChico plays salsa but there are no salsa dancers.

La Viruta is cool if you want to mix Tango and Salsa.

They like Cumbia in BA. I have a hard time enjoying Cumbia.

I hope this helps.

Thanks... Just arrived and I look forward to checking out the fun!
