After the time I was robbed, i now constantly look back and around when walking, even wehn i am with friends.
It sucks.

I've also paid attention to various stories as such and successfully avoided a bird poop incident. Your life just won't be the same after your first robbery.

Looking around constantly when walking helped my wife and i avoid being mugged.

Its sad that this is the best advice any new person coming to Buenos Aires can get.
