I need to ship one of my paintings to Scotland for a buyer and was wondering if anyone had any advice for shipping artwork overseas, i.e. which carrier to use, customs paperwork that might need to be filled out, etc.

Thanks,
Jimmy

I would look into Fedex. I use them to ship stuff to the usa, kinda $$$ but I know it's safe.

Hi Jimmy

We've got stuff safely out the country using correo argentino before. They offer a door to door track and trace service, and am yet to have a problem with them.

Only thing to flag up if you're not already aware, is that there can be problems selling artwork abroad. If the buyer is willing to pay all the associated customs fees so much the better, but if at all possible I'd send it via a human courier. If you know anyone leaving the country soon send it with them, its a lot easier taking things out the country in person.

Best of luck

J

Jimmy, contact Julio Pino artbranco.com.ar or [email protected]
He is both a gallery owner and artist and sends artwork to USA. Nice guy, has a great gallery. Mention us, Tom and Nancy. Good luck
