I agree with you, still you have residency but we, Argentinian, go on considering people from other countries foreighners and the law is different for someone born here. Believe me I 've been investigating everything for my BF to move his stuff here . I have also thought about the ways to prove his belongings were mine, since I am Argentinian but that is even more difficult to prove. If the stuff were mine and I was the one who was moving from the States to Argentina, then I would have paid no taxes.What does the DNI of someone who got a residency say on its cover?? it says " extranjero" = foreighner. That is why because certain aspects of the law is applied in a different way as for someone who was born here.
