I also recommend you buy FV- its well made, and parts are available.
The two big stores that have a giant selection are both on Juan B Justo-
Blaisten

and

but really, there is a plumbing supply store within blocks of you, pretty much anywhere but in Puerto Madero.

Do you recall any cross streets as where to start, this seems like the best option, I'd like to avoid walking all over the neighborhood although I will check out a few really close shops.

Are the FV's generally metal? I'd don't care if it's a local brand as long as it's not as flimsy as the plastic one we bought at Easy!
I'm sorry, all my receipts are in my apartment and we are not there now.

Paraguay 2400 (between Larrea and Pueyrredón)

If you are close to Palermo, try this place:

As a previous poster said, FV is your best bet. High quality and available, since they are domestic. They are not cheap, however. I recommend the place above because they will often sell individual parts, without having to by an entire set (handles, faucet, shower head).

There are a lot of plumbing places on Junin near Corrientes (try between Tucuman and Peron), but none of them sold individual parts when I was looking late last year.
