There seems to be a lot of younger expats here in BsAs. Are there any groups of over 40? Would love to meet new people, but most the people on these forums seem to be very young.

I,m over 40(14 years over!!!) but married, still i often meet up with my ex-pat friends in the San Telmo area, you can always join us,regards Howard

I'm 47, single and looking for new friends. I arrive last week, I'm Argentinean and live in Amsterdam and I'm a freelance journalist.

A car salesman apologized last week for playing Go West as we took a test drive..says its thanks to his older boss..I reassured him that there is life over 40 and indeed over 50 as my gorgeous husband is proof of...it's all in the mind and spirit. FYI the car salesman looked 40 and was 30 so he needed education not us.

Anyhow my point is theres so much good life over 40..Bsas is the most ageist city I have even lived in however as beauty and youth seem to bhe one of the most prized traits, forgoing wisdom, niceness etc

It would be great to meet up...and the San Telmo area works great for me. I'm 50 and just came 233rd out of 15,000 runners on Saturday in the Nike 10k race. So there's life in the old dog yet ;-)

They are ageist, yet you can see plenty of seniors in restaurants, theaters, milongas, taking classes of all kinds

I've found they are really tough towards women in their 40's

Niceness, wisdom, intelligence, manners, etc. No way in Argentina

If any of you ever want to escape the chaos of the city for a week (or even a month), please contact me.

I am in your sweet spot, over 40 and fun! I am new to BA (just 2 weeks) and would love to meet some single people my age to socialize with. Let's pick a place to meet :)
