Very astute move on PRO's part. Throws a bone to the populists without compromising PRO's own agenda. Would have been necessary due to inflation in any event, but making it an inauguration present is very good PR.

He'd already said they were going to raise the minimum to adjust for inflation in the past years. This to me sounds like more in line with what Macri campaigned on rather than throwing a bone to the populists. Either way, it makes sense to do it and to your point, it's probably going to help him win people over.

More than anything I think it will help with the Peronists (note: not Kirchnerists) who are already pissed off at Cristina. i think it will give a bit more of a push so they break with Cristina (not like they aren't already waiting to do exactly that). I think this goes more toward eroding the power base she ostensibly has in congress and politics in general, which seems to be getting pretty weak anyway if you listen to the pundits who talk about her relations with the Peronist caudillos.

I wonder how many of the FpV congresspersons will actually boycott Macri's swearing in like she's asked and at least some have agreed to do.

He also promested medical insurance for retired people:

while PAMI (medical insurance for old people) was created in 1971:

So, don't be upset.

This is what i call smart criticism in opposition to call tge President "Mugricio" alike what you did with the former President.

Why would you think I'd be upset? And wasn't it you who said the use of "shegua" was disrespectful?

I said it was a good PR move by the new administration. Do you agree?

Well, they reduced something that already existed lieying like this is new and good. I don't agree, according to the inflacion the former opposition declared when they were opposition, it should be 47.000 prsos.

Are you trying to missinform or you are missinformed?

Your question is way too easy: I was asserting nothing, therefore, neither.

But I rely on you to keep me informed.

You are really unbelievable - literally!

I just read YOUR source. The 35.000 peso exception covered 10-12% of the population! It was only for a select group of union members - not for the public at large - as Macri's is this year!

Don't you even read your own sources? The article you referenced shows you to be either completely misinformed (there's that word again!) or a complete fraud. It's not for me to decide which is true.

Excuse me? So, what is the relationship with Macri's decrease of the limit from 35/47 to 30? None.

10/12% a year ago. There is something called paritarias that means that salaries are negociated twice a year. In march 2015 your 10/12% was 21%.

I didn't find updated info. It should be obvious but not for you.

I'll try to use short words so that you'll understand.

Now first, the 12% mentioned had nothing to do with wages - that is the percentage of Argentine workers who benefitted from the $35.000 exception last year.

The $35.000 exception applied only to 12% of the Argentine workers! Got that? It did not apply to 88% of Argentine wage earners. Got that, too? Good.

Macri's proposal applies to all Argentine workers. 100%! He didn't decrease anything, because there was no exception for the public at large - just a few favored union members, and only for one year. (Moyano complained about leaving out the 90%.)

Now stay with me, here. 100% is a larger number than 12%. More Argentines will benefit from a $30.000 exception for everyone than those who benefitted from a $35.000 exception for only 12% of Argentines.

So it's clear now?
