Hi,
I'm a certified Spanish and English teacher, I hold a BA in Linguistics and Literature and a MA in Comparative Literature. Currently, I'm waiting for my papers from Europe in order to apply for permanent residency here and I would love to get some work teaching at least until I have my work permit.
Over the last 8 years, I've been teaching English and Spanish at a couple of universities (starting with the usual grammar and semantics workshops and working gradually to more complex courses, such as Gender Issues in Regency and Victorian England or Hispanic Culture and Civilization). I've been tutoring high-school and college students, young professionals, all sorts of people interested in learning a new language or travelling, you name it. I've also worked with disadvantaged children and children with disabilities within a few programs supported by the European Union. I've seen a lot and learned a lot from all my students, but, as they say, there's always room for more.
If you have any suggestions about getting a start as a teacher / tutor here, they'd me much appreciated.
