Hi Folks! Looks like I got old and developed back problems! A diagnosis of spinal stenosis and also a possible sacroiliac issue. So I'm looking for a top notch traumatologist or orthopedist. If you have any ideas about who might be helpful please send them along. I have Hospital Italiano coverage but willing to consider out of that network. Much thanks!

I'm also seeking someone in this field, if I find a good practitioner I'll let you know. in the meantime, you might want to try some Hatha or Yin yoga. it was worked absolute wonders for me, in terms of pain management and overall quality of life. going to a live studio is always amazing, but you can just go to YouTube, and search "yoga for" and insert your problem. there are so many good classes free of charge.

Hospital Italiano has the best orthopedic service in Argentina. It's a teaching and research hospital - newly graduated doctors fight to get one of its internships.

They physical plant is old, but the hospital has the latest technology and the best specialists.

You may request an appointment with a traumatologist at Hospital Italiano, and they will ask you what part of the body is affected because they specialize in different areas. It can be at the Central Hospital or their annexxes in other neighborhoods. I think at the center in Belgrano (calle Palpa) they may have more specialists and also I believe they have a traumatology ER over there. I usually consult the foot/ankle team there and it's less crowded than the Central Hospital.
