Labels are not accurate definitions. We use the labels to get a general idea of a subject or an object. This is why we call them labels and not definitions.
In US politics, the labels "Democrat" and "Republican" clearly show this.
"Republican" is somewhere between Genghis Khan and a British Conservative while "Democrat" is somewhere between a slightly left leaning British Conservative and Stalin.
