Socialism's fatal flaw is it can only envision one way to create a functioning economy: bleed the rich.
Two problems with that economic model are you'll inevitably run out of other people's money because there's only so much of it and because "other people" and their money have legs so they run out even faster than you expected, leaving you high and dry to explain the mess you've created.
Capitalism envisions that the only way to create a prosperous, functioning economy is by creating wealth in the form of goods and services that other people want to buy. In the process jobs are created, tax revenues are generated, and there's no need to start a class war by demonizing the rich.
