Strange Movistar SIM/Nokia phone problem - any ideas?

We have 2 phones. 1 Blackberry and the other a Nokia 1200. Each uses a local Movistar SIM card. When my wife's SIM card is in the Nokia phone she can't receive text messages, all other functions work. When it's in my Blackberry it works fine with all functions. When I place my SIM card in her phone, all functions work. And, they work Anyone else seen this strange problem? Any ideas?

Go to Movistar and get the SIM replaced, it should be free
 
likely a problem with how the APN/carrier settings are automatically configured in the Nokia ?
