Strike!paro!

We live on the 6th floor, frente. I keep a bucket of water sitting on my balcony. A nicely placed shot of water arcing over the railing has worked wonders for:

1. Drunk teenagers singing at 3:30 am.
2. Drunk homeless guys yelling at each other.
3. Guys peeing on the big tree in front of our building.
4. The dogs that (used to) bark at each other while tied to the tree.
5. That a$$hole in the BMW that insistently blew his horn while sitting in his car with the window down instead of getting out and ringing the door buzzer for the person he was meeting (that was particularly rewarding). :)

You forgot the shrieking feral cats.

Is this a general strike? IE everything, like the last one?

Yup, they're trying to force the closing of everything, so far for sure confirmed are: everything CGT (truck drivers), they're trying to get the CTA, banks, railways, hospitals (skeleton staff only), god knows who else. The biggest will be whether the UTA (Bus Driver's Union) joins -- I suspect they will, though the oficialistas are supposedly in talks. Kapitanich seems to believe that the strikers are being funded by the Fondos Buitres. I really wish the govt figures would shut up with their accusations like this, it makes me want to crawl into a hole... fondos buitres are now funding strike action in Argentina apparently -- where's an emoji for a big old eye roll?

InfoBae talks about how Moyano plans on going after anyone who does try to works, taxistas, gremios industriales (basically they will shut down the parque industrial at Garin where Donnelly is located, right down the street from my husband's offices, there's tonnes of fabricas out there so those that are open will be picketed).

UTA (Buses) are supposed to decide within next day, apparently if the govt comes up with more money for subsidies they'll keep functioning.

Just when I was thinking how much I miss living in Argentina and how I should have never left ......

Sounds like a great day to head out to the Estancia and see how the cows are doing. Maybe a little Asado & some target practice. Ride the horses. Gotta pay the Gaucho anyway.
