Travelling with under age kids born in Argentina is a hassle . The documents required by the Argentine migration people tend to be more demanding than those asked for by their counterparts in Europe or North America.

Well to me it doesnt seem too complicated. Look for an escribano and have both signed that each parent allows the other one to travel alone with the kids. Whats more a pain in the botty is the cost. Not sure what an escribano charges for that nowadays, but my guess is > 3000 P for sure.

You can get a permanent document done with the Argentine authorities for a minimal fee. It has been a while since we did ours, but I am sure the office was on Cordoba, somewhere near Olleros? Cost maybe $20 USD at the time.

You can do it at a civil registry if you live in Capital. Cost is 550 pesos. http://www.buenosaires.gob.ar/tramites/autorizacion-de-viaje-al-exterior

You also must have the birth certs with you (or marriage libreta). In case of emergency, there is somewhere at the airport where they can issue you copies I believe although I have never needed it (and I'm sure you pay a lot!)
