(What has Argentine society given the world but a whore dance and a good laugh? )

Tango for me and millions of others is the signature of Buenos Aires and is our most famous export for good reason. There is no dance nor music that stirs the passions of so many admirers worldwide. Night after night millions dance and watch tango from Helsinki to Tokyo and the heart Buenos Aires . Milongas ( Tango Dance Halls ) are in just about every capital city of Europe and Asia creating new admirers.

Tango is passion and art combined the pride of Buenos Aires, Montevideo and the Rio Plata.

A whore dance? I sort of agree, because Tango is in danger of being taken over by intellectuals throughout the world. Maybe just because the working classes in general are too busy surviving and cannot afford to travel to Buenos Aires. I am lucky for a number of reasons, and that is why this working lad can afford to buy here, fortunately here tango has not lost it's roots and still belongs in the Barrios and to the working classes.
My tastes go more towards Troilo, Tantori and D'Arienzo. I like the more traditional and danceable music.
What I like most however about this post is the obvious passion it has arroused, you cannot have Tango without passion. Without passion it is just dancing.
