Hi, we will be travelling to Buenos Aires for one month with a 3 year old toddler and 3 month infant and debating whether or not to bring their car seats for taxis. Car hire for the entire month is expensive so we are hoping to just get around with taxis. Are there taxis you can call that have child car seats in the if you request them? For example: to/from Ezeiza airport and around town? Any tips or advice anyone can provide on this would be great! Thanks!

You are on the wrong planet. Is this a joke?

Argentines, by and large, have not been convinced that cholesterol exists, much less that children need car seats. You will have to bring your own.

About 25% of all taxis that I've used here don't have working seat belts. I get out and flag another one down. You should bring your own car seat but you'll definitely look like a tourist. :)

If you come in December/January/February or even March:
One [background=rgb(252, 252, 252)]3 year old toddler and a 3 months baby, two car seats, plus bottles of water, plus additional equipment, walking in the streets with 40 C + 90% humidity.[/background]

[background=rgb(252, 252, 252)]Actually, you could make money out of your trip, negotiating a deal with a deodorant company or a weight loss program.[/background]

[background=rgb(252, 252, 252)]Sorry for the humor but it's just to warn you (check what the weather is like here during the next 4 months).[/background]

[background=rgb(252, 252, 252)]PS: renting a car, negotiating a good deal, will cost you about 700/800 USD for one month (car with AC). If you come from a non-latin country, you might have hard times adapting to the local driving style though.[/background]

Would you care to share what airline (flight #) and date you shall be traveling? Maybe even a seat number, just in case.

some bloke gets out of the taxi if his belt don't work,hahaha....must have a lot of time on his hands.Perhaps he should do a risk assessment, required by health and safety, before he leaves home for a trip to the shops?
