I'm getting married in February and I'll (hopefully) have some family members flying in for the wedding - if they all come, it will be a group of 6. :) So I'm on the hunt for lodging since we have no space to take them in.

They'll only be here for a week or two, and I was thinking that renting a 3 bedroom furnished apartment should come out cheaper than paying for 3 hotel rooms, no? I think it might be more comfortable for them as well, as they're going to be flying in from different cities and would like to reconnect.

I'm torn between Palermo and Recoleta. Recoleta seems more upscale, but from what I've seen, I'm not sure it's too pedestrian friendly in terms of going out to eat or stopping by a supermarket to buy bread. Palermo seems to be more interesting and have more restaurants and nightlife (which I think my brother, his wife, and my cousin will enjoy since they're all 20-somethings.) They aren't fancy people (no high rise penthouse needed), so as long as it's safe, affordable, and decent they'll be happy.

So my questions are...

What neighborhoods/streets would be best?
Will it be easy to find a place for February? It's summer vacation here but the off season for the North.
How much time before should I make the reservation?
Any suggested real estate agents or tips?

I've been checking out BAListings, BytArgentina and BuenosAiresApartments to get an idea of how much it's going to cost... there's some nice places but I'm not really sure what to look for since I never rented an apartment before and I'm not the most familiar with CF. I don't want to rent a place without seeing it first (and the street, in the day and during the night.)

Hopefully my parents and family will have a nice time and not get too bad of an impression of this place... :D
