God Bless Nestor Kirchner but did you see the gigantic sculpture that was presented today (all over the TV news)?!

Kirchner-estatua-R-Turbio.jpg

It denotes an interesting sense of proportions (he can scratch his knees without lowering his back...).

Well, at least we can say "He's Alive! Alive!" with this great piece of art.

Abstract-Realism?

Is this a joke?

Or is this thing real?

(Either way it's creepy a ****.)

I'm afraid it's not.
But now that I look at it on TV (in situ) I realize that now the legs can't be seen (they are enclosed in some kind of rock from which he seems to jump out like a Jack-in-the-box -> they likely realized there was a problem :p).

I like the spontaneity of the artist though...

Compare both pictures...

If you take a look better, you'll see that he's dresseing the sporting clothes that he used when He mingled with the crowd once (it was a very emotive situation in the begining of his time), and his body looks exactly like that time. I think they tryed to keep that image... "a regular man as a hero".
