The dreaded middle initial on a foreign document

Does anyone know how to make a document (marriage license or divorce decree) that has only a middle intiial (as opposed to the full name) acceptable in Argentina?

Been there: You need to get a letter from the US embassy stating that the initial equals xxxx name. The letter has to be notarized.

I have the docs (with apostille) in Argentina, but I'm 650KM from CF...and the US Embassy.

Steve. There is a place in capital that is official , i had to go there to get an apostille "certified" I think its called Departamento Tecnico . Perhaps there is one where you are. Im sure a lawyer in the forum can tell you the exact name so u can search for it in your home city

Ack u got me there Maybe u could ask citizen services to see if they would do it if you mail in your docs?
