The Emerging Argentinian Crisis

It's too bad that the Argentine people have no idea that freedom and free markets will set actually them free. It's also unfortunate that an old woman who can't turn anyone on has a country's economic balls in her grip. That is grounds for divorce.

(of course I'm talking about my Argentine girlfriend's mother ;-)

Gladly, not even the notoriously "poor decision prone" electorate here are that stupid. Dear corporations, please make as much money as you want but pretty please make sure that you share the wealth, mmmkay? Thanks, the naive millions.

This seems to be an accurate depiction. It has a pro-working class slant -- but then, it is a socialist site.

Again the word Socialist and its different understanding on both sides of the ocean, but the other way around this time.
Much more than the classical Socialists (center-left), they're rather trotskyist to me (left of the left).

Right, WSWS is the publication by the Socialist Equality Party (SEP), a Trotskyist group based in the U.S. They broke from the Socialist Workers Party (SWP) in the 60s.

Is an implied inflation rate the same as actual inflation?
Or is it some national figure?

Amazingly, i m feeling much more free in Argentina than in the US. The fundamental problem of the Argentine culture is precisely the excess of freedom, allowing many individuals to transgress laws. The consequence is indeed a giant mess, but few argentines would trade this freedom for a better organized society with fewer corruption and individual freedom, like Chile did for example.

The consequence is that everything works by networks. If you want to solve the inumerous problems caused by the excess of freedom of others is to know somebody who has the power to help you. This is why the argentine is generally so empathetic and socially open minded...each new friend is an oportunity to enlarge his network...
