The End of Closed Neighborhoods?

I think CFK and co are pretty darn smart. They know their populace very well and play with them accordingly. They know what ticks and they test things on people to see what their reaction might be. They have no problem backtracking their utterances if at first it seems like what they uttered was unpopular.

You can't be an idiot and still get away with so many changes in such a short period of time as CFK and cronies have been able to do.

Nico, I didn't mean to say that Cristina is an idiot, although it sure is easy to say that, as you did in a recent post about the Argentine economy "If there exists a pictorial dictionary, I'm sure they define "idiot" with Cristina's face next to it." For someone to reach the presidency of a Country they most probably have some degree of intelligence. However, we all know that intelligent people can make stupid decisions and do dumb things. Cristina has done her fair share. I still think that many of them are clowns!

My statement about her being an idiot, read it in context. It is idiotic to think that no one will react even if you screw with them. That is what I was talking about. It is, however, not idiotic to pull off what she's done and her people not even notice what the hell is going on.

I misunderstood what you were saying and in turn you plucked my statement out of context. Nice.

Here's what I said in context: "If you're honestly hoping things will just magically change for the better then again you're naive. Instead of backtracking and changing her stupidity Cristina cried foul when the US and the EU applied restrictions on Argentine exports in response to Argentine protectionism. Cristina thought and still thinks that other countries should not protect their interests, everything should be about Argentina! If there exists a pictorial dictionary, I'm sure they define "idiot" with Cristina's face next to it." Here's the whole post: http://baexpats.org/articles/23886-argentinas-economy-2.html#post179837
