Old cranky conservative guys like this Opinion writer always have some reason why anyone to the left of them is wrong. "populism" didnt make the pledge to keep the peso/dollar rate at 1 to 1 in 2000. And we dont have a similar attempt to prop up the peso today, now that Macri has gone, although his attempt to do so, by spending $150 billion USD was a bit similar.
We shall see what we shall see.
