So if Amazon pays $0 tax, and assuming they do so legally since they're not in "jail", then the system is immoral. What "system" are you referring to? The concept of democracy itself that put the tax code in place? Or just the US, hence the US citizens?

Trying to wrap my head around your logic. If I consider the bombing of Cambodia immoral then I therefore consider democracy and US citizens immoral because that was the system that produced that action.

My questions are not rhetorical. I'm just trying to get clarification and understand YOUR meaning. Again, when you mentioned,"The system itself is immoral.", what "system" are you referring to?

You said you wanted an alternative to scepticism-passivity of the kind that has been denying climate change for many years and you 'got it', so I will try and elucidate: corporations and governments can be remarkably susceptible to the power of public and consumer opinion, hence the sacking of Boeing CEO over gross negligence/corporate misbehaviour, and the humiliation of Australian PM over holidaying while his government was faced with worst bush fires in living memory, having nay-nayed climate change. Even China is responding to everything from Hong Kong protests to criticism of its use of indentured labour. So far from wishing the governments of world have been waking up to the need for regulations of different kinds. As to Argentina: you may have noticed that the Macri years have indeed pulled the country's pants down and left it vulnerable to IMF interference with the heaviest debt burden of any developed country. The new government and even the much-maligned C-FK is trying to devise tax policies and incentives to cover its ass. You may even approve of them as a practical rather than wishful measure for Xmas. Happy days.

I'm still hearing a lot of anger and ranting. Same as in all the other countries and continents I've lived and worked in. Fun to debate the causes, but I'm not hearing any defined solution to make your world a better place.

Refer to my last post and there is no making the world a better place as far as we peasants are concerned. You delude yourself in your supposed intellect which is not going to change anything. Ranting so what everyone does that even K and even Trump anything changed not at all. You points can be well taken but they will never avail anything but debate which will not change anything.

Complaining and a solution that is pretty simple really. There is no solution because we are never going to undo the way the system works. So the solution is to get damn good at working the cards you are dealt with. I know poverty my father left when I was just a boy nothing compares to wanting to eat more when there is not more to eat. How about getting ridiculed for 3rd generation hand me down clothes? Yea I know all about it.

There was only one way out study like my life depended on it and spend the rest of my time doing odd jobs and working when I could starting at the age of 12. Get smart as you can understand the system and work it, invent things write patents do what you love to do.

You know the system can really work for you if you know how to work it. You can invent something write a patent get it approved and then just get paid to license the technology. Now that is cool! Just saying.

In fact, this guy Oden from Argentina nailed it and it seems the same system is now working for him! Hmmm!

I just do not want to get dragged into the pit with socialist losers that think that my life is equal to theirs. It is not, never has been and never will be. Nor do I enjoy the potential these socialist losers have to drag their fellow Argentinians into their looser pit with them. Which so far is about the only thing these losers have produced.

As angry and as negative as you may sound, especially given the hard life you've had, I see that you still have a positive outlook on life. "So the solution is to get damn good at working the cards you are dealt with." I absolutely agree!

Relative to our lifetime, maybe there may be "no solution", but from what history shows us, we'll eventually hit the RESET button with a revolution of some type down the road and a new form of government will arise. History shows that it applies to all civilizations. But in the meantime, yes, get damn good at working the cards you are dealt with

This is in response to another person's comments, not yours. I'm not sure what Intellect you're referring to. I'm always open to a better solution, but there's no solution in rants. Again, fun to debate, but it's better to hear potential solutions with it.
