Time Frame To Change Dni Permanent Address.

Has anyone has to change the address on their DNI lately? Does anyone know how long it takes now days? A few years ago I got the Ejemplar Nuevo and it took five months and I have to travel abroad in May. Maybe it's better to wait until I come back.

I'm not sure how it is in Buenos Aires anymore (I live in another province), but I changed my address a few months ago. It involved waiting hours (despite making an appointment) at a local Registro Civil, and they just did the process of making a new DNI (I already had one of the new DNIs, but they said they had to make a new card and couldn't update the info electronically). After that, my new DNI came in the mail after a few weeks. Good luck!

Do I need to bring a certificado de domicilio from the police? Or a bill in my name showing my new address? I couldn't find anything on the website.
