Other things being equal, I keep my distance from pit bulls.

I keep my distance from bad owners. Never encountered a pit bull, but a badly trained dogo argentina would be just as dangerous, you can usually tell how the dog is behaving and how the owners seems. Nervous, anxious, aggressive owner = stay away from the dog.

I agree that a dogo is potentially dangerous, as are many other breeds. Statistically, though, pit bulls are by far the most dangerous, though I won't go so far as to say that's universal.
