I managed to suffer about 45 minutes of this debate last night, where if I understand correctly, leading figures of political parties in opposition were given a golden opportunity to show solidarity leading up to these mid-term elections.
So they wheeled out two dinosaurs, a disgruntled ex economy minister and and egotistic, smug has been and we all cringed.
Illia reminded me of a throwback to the bad old days of banana republic shouting politics without the dark glasses.
Gil Lavedra was just too nice and cuddly like a long lost uncle.
Listening to Lousteau was like being ravaged by a dead sheep.
And Carrio looks like she needed a severe talking to by a PR expert specialising in repetition (not).
I can just imagine being a fly on the wall in the Olivos Quinta, listening to the guffaws and sniggers with champagne on ice in anticipation of the destruction of these cartoon characters.

I'll always drop everything to watch Carrio and she didn't disappoint last night. The rapture of Lilita, that distant beatific look as the true gravity of the angel's discourse she generously relates to us mere mortals descends back down upon her occupied my attention to the point that I missed what everyone else said. I was a little disappointed that she didn't ascend to the heavens and cry tears of rosewater down upon us to wash away all the paco and bags of filthy dollars.

I too was a little disappointed that we didn't receive manna from heaven, but it will take more than one Lilita and the bunch that was on last night to save us all from this tyranny.

Didn't get to watch the debate. What exactly did they debate about? That in and of itself would have been interesting to see--what they actually decided to focus on. I'm sure it had not much to do with the daily realities of our lives.

I found it hard to follow to be honest.
For some reason my brain went into limbo, which isn't unusual.
My Spanish is good but I couldn't hook onto what they were driving at.
I think Lilita needs to change the record, it's stuck. They need to unite but I keep getting the impression that they're running around like headless chickens.
