Thanks for the update, I'll check my local Disco and see if they have it. WOW, I just noticed the price at your Disco was $35,650 and Mercdo Libre has it for only $18,431! Good to shop around with imported items!

Yes, that's partially why I remembered this thread, because I saw that price and thought... Wow, no wonder you were looking for alternatives! This is at the Disco near Alto Palermo, so I imagine it's also priced a bit higher because of the location.

Works out about $2.5 per bottle of 200ml (if you are not going to consume 900ml of Bloody Mary in a day and always want some on hand… maybe a good alternative!)

I've bought those and they are tasty! Still more expensive then the bigger bottles though, and I hate using all that glass, although I do use the recycle dumpsters in my neighborhood and try and recycle as much as I can.

I checked the bottle and Zonia is a product of Argentina, so I guess that's why it's more reasonably priced, no import taxes as I assume Campbell's is. And I do live in Recoleta, so I know prices are inflated by neighborhood!

I recently tried to get some custom chair slip covers made and a piano cover (fundas) from a local store on Arenales, I wanted a special design and the price they quoted me was insane, and they said the design was too complicated and I'd have to do a solid color on the back of the chair. Luckily a friend recommended someone and she did an amazing job at 1/3 the price and the design was perfect, all perfectly straight lines and she even sewed in her little label on the back.

She lives in La Plata but comes into Buenos Aires a lot for jobs. She came to our apartment in Recoleta, did precise measurements of the chairs and piano, gave me a choice of types of material, and then had the finished product delivered via courier. I couldn't be more happy. Lola our cat loves the piano cover, it's like a big momma cat to sleep on, very soft and silky!
