Hi everyone!

I've been diagnosed with ADHD in Australia and I'm currently taking dextroamphetamine.

I'm planning to travel later this year and stay in Argentina for around 3 months. I know that is not possible to buy medication with amphetamines in Argentina. That's why I'm trying to find out if it's possible to travel with them.

Does anyone know if it's possible to travel to Argentina with ADHD medication?

Thanks!

I always come to Argentina with TONS of viagra and they never ask me about, even when I open my bags and they go through them.

I would carry a prescription, and a letter from your doctor stating that this is medication for a chronic condition. In the US it is sometimes called "continuing treatment".
Yes, I was planning to do that. I'll also take the extra step of finding a certified translator, to translate the medical letter into Spanish.

I was more concerned about if they would stop me at the airport and confiscate them.

So far, I only found this so far: https://www.argentina.gob.ar/anmat/comunidad/importacion-de-medicamentos-disposicion-ndeg-461619
But I don't really know if it is the right paperwork to fill out. Also, it's only available in Spanish and the doctor only speaks English.

You will have ZERO issue. I am a walking pharmacy carrying tons of pills in my checked bags all the time. Just put it in your checked bags. Carry a receta from your doctor. NO ONE will check anything. They any check if you tell them, do don't...

Isn't that what Brittany Griner, USA basketball player said before being detained in Russia? It's a long shot but risky.

Jeez... customs at EZE told me once I couldn't even bring in my supplements (vitamins) without a prescription! I argued for a bit and he got bored and let me bring them in. Similar with protein powder. I just said, "Ya leí las reglas en el website de aduana y dice que no esta prohibido".
