traveling to other s. am. countries

my 90 days is up on september 24. a week or 2 before then i was hoping to go to punta del este, uruguay. however, my girlfriend told me some countries require a visa in advance of arrival, brazil for sure. does anyone know anything about this? any further info. would be great. thank you all! paz y amor

What country are you from? USA needs a visa for brazil, bolivia, and paraguay.

Assuming you're from the US, you do not need a visa to visit Uruguay.

In my opinion the South American reciprocal "visa" is a bit of a joke.

Fair play since our countries charge them to enter. May be wrong, but my understanding is they are the same.
