Updated COVID restrictions on circulation

Regarding record cases nationwide, when asked why they are not going down:
Vilma Ibarra said that "these numbers are from the moment prior to the restrictions" established by the Alberto Fernández administration last week.

Regarding schools:
Another day another rant, yet still no hard and clear data to prove that having a different policy on schooling I guess (which in CABA includes only primary levels for presential classes, as high school levels will remain virtual) significantly changes the dynamic vs. others regions versus other things they may do differently in Argentina.

Regarding vaccination in CABA (which there is another thread for)
The Buenos Aires Government today opened the registration for strategic personnel and people with risk conditions between 45 and 49 years old to receive the vaccine - 27MAY

Both districts have different strategies to advance the COVID-19 vaccination campaign. With less than 6% of Argentines already fully vaccinated, it is probably a little premature to start declaring victory over which strategy is right.

Therefore, what Minister Trotta said is misleading. It is true that the City of Buenos Aires is one of the jurisdictions with the lowest percentage of teachers vaccinated. However, when the Sinopharm vaccine was not authorized for people over 60, the Buenos Aires administration prioritized vaccinating health personnel under that age and then teachers, following the parameters established by the Ministry of Health of the Nation and what the Executive Director of Unicef, Henrietta Fore, requested.

Regarding vaccines for votes:
Consult what happened already in Missiones and the few million vaccines currently sitting in fridges all over Argentina. Why the double standard?
Not to mention the unexplained "delay" in getting the AstroZenaca vaccines that are largely made in Argentina in the first place - something which as of today the Auditor of the Nation is now formally investigating along with other irregularities.

Vilma Ibarra is who, exactly?

"Another day, another rant", then please stop, you have it in you.

"The Buenos Aires Government today opened the registration for strategic personnel and people with risk conditions between 45 and 49 years old to receive the vaccine - 27MAY" this is actually interesting (I wish you wouldn't screw with the fonts, everything is going to be farking Italic after this). In the space of 2 days, my GF got an email saying her previous registration ("empadronamiento") was invalid because she's too young (no age criteria were considered at the time of registration), and the director of her school was contacted to say CABA was considering vaccinating the teachers. Buenos Aires province has obviously done that quite some time ago. I don't know which action came first, or if it matters at all, we are in limbo.

"With less than 6% of Argentines already fully vaccinated, it is probably a little premature to start declaring victory over which strategy is right." getting as many vaccinated with at least a first dose is the strategy chosen by many, if not all, European governments. This was controversial 6 months ago, but no longer really. Get with it.

And no, I have no idea what's happening in Misiones. Nice place, visited the waterfalls, no relevancy whatever to what's happening in CABA. Try harder.
