Question in the title. Do landlords only ever accept hard currency or do they ever accept bank transfers (either domestically or in the exterior)? Many thanks!

Some accept transfers if they bank in the USA.

In my building in Recoleta landlords request cash pesos with 90 day rental adjustment according to the CPI. They are doing better better in the 1st. quarter the IPC went up say 45%. I they had accepted Dollars the gain would have been Zero. ..

Mine takes a bank transfer in pesos converted from USD using a blue rate we agreed upon

A critical rental situation for landlords and tenants , if a landlord signed a dollar contract on 1/1/24 has lost close to 50% peso income in the first quarter, depending if the ICL or the IPC index is used for quarterly adjustment. Many landlords now ask for contracts in pesos, with quarterly adjustment .
