Volunteer?

Does anyone in BA currently volunteer or know of any good programs needing people? I'd like to get more involved and am trying to see what opportunities are out there. Any recommendations are greatly welcomed! Thanks!

I struggled with the same thing, and I ended up getting involved in DiTella's Accion Social group. The universities should all have some sort of similar group if you ask around.. Just remember to be persistent and patient! Most people were quite slow to respond to my emails. Here are a some of random organizations for you to look into:
--untechoparamipais.org.ar (Kind of like habitat for humanity)

--El Arranque: [email protected] It's an night/activity program for youth in poverty-- I was going to work with them, but didn't hear from them in time.
--oajnu.org promotes civic involvement in youth/young adults and also has a Model UN group. It seemed well organized and the people (volunteers are all younger-- teens-early 30s) are really friendly.

--Mensajeros de la Paz(http://www.mensajerosdelapaz.org.ar/QUEHACEMOS.html) .. Someone referred them to me, but I didn't end up contacting them so I don't know too much.
