Fernandez’s cabinet chief, Santiago Cafiero, told La Nacion newspaper on Dec. 14 that a bill will be sent to Congress to outline tax policies which will include an increase on personal property tax and higher rates for those with assets abroad.

A 2,5% wealth tax in the pipeline? If all the rich flee the country, they will have to squeeze the poor. It is all for a good cause. Cristina can try making a shot at becoming a USD billionaire, instead of only having earned over 100 million USD so far while taking care of the country. Will she be taxed?

Too few people here understand that you should not plunder an economy, but stimulate it for most people to get richer. There is no understanding of the Laffer curve. Instead, there is an exaggerated feeling of entitlement to steal from those who have something more. The less there is left to steal, the more frustrated the self-righteous here become, they are so happy people.
