Dear GOD, if there is any corporation which embodies the essence of pure corporate evil, Monsanto must be it. Argentina is not only allowing GMO's but courting Monsanto?

My girlfriend works for Monsanto Argentina, I keep checking for horns and the spaded tail but so far nothing. It's been years! I suggested that she check with HR and they said there was nothing they could do, they just gave her this puny little pitchfork.

In my opinion no one should get state subsidies. Not the populace nor the corporations. However, I am honestly wondering what the justification is for giving state subsidies to Monsanto and Chevron? For example, for gas, electric, water etc subsidies, whether I agree with it or not, the government puts out a reason for them (helping folks who'd have a hard time paying full price), whats the justification for subsidies to Monsanto and Chevron? Where are the terms for it stated?

I'm not looking for a conspiracy theory like "this lobby controls that and that lobby does this" BS. I am wondering what the government tells people as the reason for these subsidies.

I wasn't making an argument my post was manly in response to red possums screaming into a pillow for five minutes. I certainly didn't ever mention anything close to my opinions on preferential tax treatment.

No idea about Monsanto but Chevron is receiving tax breaks in addition to other benefits (ecuador lawsuit) in exchange for partnering with YPF on the Vaca Muerta project.

Monsanto goes to the farest corners of the world to harass poor farmers. Tries to squeeze them dry. No matter how corrupt and disgusting some bankers are I think Monsanto deserves it's own circle of hell.
