Oh! Now I get it! When you go to Miami, you get movie star treatment -- private jet/car/speedboat -- and can instantly sing and dance. Let's go!

the shopping in panama appears to be nice but not so nice.

As soon as you enter a shop, the shops salespeople start shadowing you like a shadow not letting you look at things in peace. This is a big turn off for me.

What's so great about Florida ..?? instead ?

• Florida is number ONE has everything ...!! From Tampa to Boca Raton to Palm Beach to Key West . Out of the 50 States I would not recommend to Argentines more than 3 States for a family vacation (California, NYC and Maui ?.).. Definitely Oklahoma or the Dakotas are out Alaska is also out. However some States have great spots like Aspen etc,

Look at it from the point of view of an Argentine considering Miami/Florida.

1/ All year decent climate..check
2/ Local relatives/friends that can put you up instead of paying a hotel...check
3/ Spanish speaking........check
4/ Cheap city Shopping.....check
5/ Nice Beaches...check
6/ Distance from my house...check
7/ Disney...check
8/ Argentine restaurants...check
9/ Good Public Transport...check

Nothings beats a fall foliage / indian summer vacation in New England. Include a shopping trip to New Hampshire and even save the sales tax.

Perhaps build a walmart in front of the Tetons and you might encourage a few to visit.
