What is the max I can send myself via Western Union?

I usually send myself $750, but I have a major purchase coming up. Can I send myself something like $1500 in one shot?

Yes. Can confirm $1,500 is no problem. Sometimes it takes a few days extra if depositing to a bank account.

A worker at the large WU on Montevideo y Cordoba told me that I shouldn't have issues taking out 400 000 pesos at a time (this was when the rate was around 205 pesos at WU).

Once sent myself 5000 in a single transaction. Probably 7500 total for that month. No problems.

I've sent 10,000 US but that was a bank account to bank account transfer via WU. It was a few days before the money was in my account here.

If it is cash, you will have to go to the sede central in Belgrano. Most other outlets won't have enough.

From what the employees have told me Belgrano is actually the one that has the most cash on hand

We sent across 9 separate transfers in the space of 4 months to a local arg bank account - (all between USD$500 and $2500).

We had no problems for the first 7.

Then we got blocked - as in the money didn't arrive for the last 2 transfers - both were refunded by WU about a week after they were sent.

We solved it by sending $ to a different local bank account.

No idea how long the block lasts.. WU isn't great with customer service.

Anyone know how to get unblocked?
