Back in BA yesterday and today seems to be an important holiday. Stores are closed etc. would someone please let me know what holiday and is anything special going on. Thanks.

Another holiday to 'help the home tourism industry' Nothing special.

Argentina remains one of the countries with the biggest number of public holidays - http://www.argentina...idays-for-2013/

Have you thought you might go to the best tourist hotel ever? Why ever not? This is highly recommended and deservedly a member of the "Small Luxury Hotels of the World". http://www.casalossauces.com

"a decor of exposed stone walls and striking paintings and sculptures. An observatory, a feng-shui spa, a gourmet restaurant and splendid, large-windowed suites are key features" Makes you wonder who could own such a delightful place. (NB Dont forget better to offer to pay in dollars).

Surely not a tourist hotel owned by someone who in 2008 could in all conscience oppose the proposed law seeking the protection and conservation of the world heritage site that attracts tourists from all over, from exploitation and profiteering by capitalists and cyncial businesses only interested in shortsighted environmental degradation - ley de protección de los glaciares?

If this is your place, congratulations. It looks very nice, mabe a little rich for my pocket. You might want to consider translating the whole site for when the Spanish illiterate (like me) click on "English". Actually, I was just asking if anything special is going on because of this holiday.
