Better a war of agression that ended slavery early than to have enslaved people waiting God knows how much longer until it "died a natural death." You couldn't make it a week as a slave in that brutal regime yet you seem to imply it would have been fairer to let the Southerners decide when they felt it should end. No mention of the unfairness of a human being being kept as a slave. To hell with what the actual people living in slavery would want. One minute as a slave is an eternity. Yikes! Are you serious??????
