The first set of price controls finishes on Friday night. Several companies have already filed to increase prices and some of my friends are indicating increases from 3%- 8% The new price controls start on Saturday but apparently they are another series of products.

I think the supermarkets will also want to increase margins by a couple of points.

What do you guys think?

I am thinking of doing a big shop on Friday to stock up for a few weeks – or would that be playing into their hands and cause shortages?

Only 500 products -- less than 2% of what's on the shelves -- will remain with a price freeze.

No they're supposed to maintain the price freeze on those products that has been going on for the past 90 days.

I dont understand!
What prices of food didnt rise?
I dont shop hamburger bread, or so many things of the oficial list that Im not surprised with the fridays end of " nothing"
take the work and list what product of the list you do shop.
Name brand, format, weigth and price and you will see.
regular or ordinary bread hasnt been " freezed"
this is a bit more of the famous " RELATO"

Also check out how many waxing or hair removal products are on the list. And the serenissima milk that is "frozen" is the new B9 one that is already one of the most expensive ones.
