Where Are The English For The World Cup?

As a scotsman and an expert on working out qualifying tables, they aren't yet. If Italy win their 2 final games and England thrash Costa Rica they could squeeze through on goal difference.

So it doesn't come to who wins games, but to who scores points?

It does but in this possible case:

Uruguay lose to Costa Rica, Italy but beat England.
Costa Rica lose to Italy, England but beat Uruguay.
England lost to Italy,Uruguay but beat Costa Rica.

Then it goes to Goal Difference as they all have the same points.

Scotland actually went out of a world cup unbeaten in 1974.

And if Scotland drops the UK, no more medals for UK during the Winter Olympics!
Indeed, Scotland is very good in a specific Winter sport full of action... :p

The Scot is absolutely and totally 100% right. Although the azzurri might tie with Costa Rica just for fun and that would eliminate England.

I don't care for handegg either, but I have to agree with Vince Lombardi that "A tie is like kissing your sister." By that standard, soccer is incest.
