Where can I buy beans?

Canned beans et. al. must be rinsed thoroughly before cooking.
That is a good habit. Still the salts and preservatives have been absorbed by the beans. Preparing dry beans is the only way to control the taste and texture before using beans in your favorite recipes.

Maybe it's me, but hydrating the garbanzo beans here in BA is noticeably tastier than the US. I feel they have more flavor here.
 
Everything I see online suggests making hummus from dry beans results in a much better product than using canned chick peas/garbanzos
Same if you want to make falafel. They should be hydrated overnight, and then ground without cooking to then make Falafel. I have yet to find a decent one in Argentina. Nothing even close. I suspect they are using only garbanzo flour.

Have you checked in Once? I'm sure there is a good falafel there.
