Uploaded to YouTube before the Presidential election of 2024, this video provides an excellent summary of Argentina's economic history leading up to it:

End up in Jail? Serio? Once in a while they bust a large company that is exchanging literally millions of dollars. But cuevas exist all over town, many up to 15 years old.
The Economist is parroting the party line of the extreme wealthy.
I just had to stop at a corner while a new Maserati sedan drove by, 6 blocks from Villa 31.
There are is an enormous amount of wealth here, most of it completely untaxed, no inheritance taxes, no real estate taxes beyond a streetcleaning bill, less than 100,000 people out of 40 million "qualify" for personal income taxes, and rolexes, porsches, and 200,000 shots of imported whiskey are not going anywhere.
The idea that changing a few hundred dollars is a symptom of a failed economy is just silly.
We have literally dozens of huge new buildings being built for millions of dollars in CABA, we have everyone on vacation for the entire month of January, and Argentines claim its all Peron's fault.
Milei has done nothing to ease financial restrictions, to encourage exports (in fact, he discourages them) and the oligarchs who pull his strings are richer than ever.
