Why The Future Is Here In The South, Another Example

Thanks, but I do not feel like a victim in any way and I don't mind in the least what ajokenoblaugh is doing. His snide comments are a reflection of his mentality

Actually, no, they're not, and that's why it bothers me. If you read his blog, he writes well. He's literate, educated, and articulates his thoughts with a fair degree of eloquence. So he doesn't have the excuse which you attribute to him.

It reminds me of Lt Col Ralph Peters. For years, I knew him only through his novels. Granted his later works were more mundane, but his early novels were tragedies like Euripides wrote tragedies, just fit to break your heart. If you're old enough to remember the 70's, Bravo Romeo is a novel that will make you cry, laugh, and want to puke,(not all at once), but you wont be able to put it down. The War in 2020 is another tour de force. And Flames of Heaven was the best of all. Yet when I saw the man on Fox News, (in a video clip on YouTube, I don't watch Fox), he was being a complete arsehole, just a callous jerkwad of the highest order. Which is the real man? Was he just playing to an audience on Fox, providing red meat to the hungry dogs to collect a paycheck? I have no idea.

Why do people have to shriek by the sole mention of Fox News. Like watching Fox News were the greatest sin against humanity. Aren't people supposed to have their own opinions and analytical skills? Especially the better educated or cultured people who post here?

As much as there's hate and bigotry in some of their reporters or anchors, we live at a point in time in which all other mainstream media are being ridiculously complacent and blind about the current administration. I do watch them, then I decide what is right and just dispose of their bs.

As a Brit, watching Fox news is amusing. In the same way Russia Today is amusing.

I merely give Ayn and her acolytes the treatment they merit.

The South is striving to improve, granted only on the principle of "two steps forward, one step back", but still trending onward and upward. While the North seems locked into a downward spiral of war, oppression, tyranny, and death.

Your post touches upon an interesting phenomenon in that the US is moving more towards socialism/fascism, greater division between classes, reduced civil liberties, controlled economy and general overall police state while other countries are moving to where we used to be. It's the general cycle of things I suppose.

socialism/fascism,

fas·cism
noun \ˈfa-ˌshi-zəm also ˈfa-ˌsi-\

: a way of organizing a society in which a government ruled by a dictator controls the lives of the people and in which people are not allowed to disagree with the government
: very harsh control or authority
Fascism is old hat. Look for the hybrid.

This article explains what net neutrality is and how it is threatened:

That's all well and good, and I tend to agree with you about ayn's fines even. But please, it's been at least a month now, could you give it a rest, for the rest of us?

Please ?

??? I would not fine Ayn or her acolytes, unless she or they refused to pay their fair share of taxes.
